Tate Tag

So Tate was tagged so you get to hear 5 wonderful things about my son.

1. Tate is a total stud! He can be quite charming when he wants to be. He is a bit of a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. One minute he is giving me tons of kisses smiling and giggling and the next he is tearing of one of my kitchen cabinets(yes this actually happened last Friday).

2. Tate is a total Daddy's boy. He loves his dad so much but I like to think that I come in at a close second. I'm hoping when he get older he will turn into a Mama's boy but the chances I think are pretty slim.

3. Tate LOVES food. He always finishes all his meals and then usually moves on to the girls unfinished ones. The only problem is half of it misses his face. Maybe thats why he eats so much. I don't understand it but he has to always rub his food all over his face and hair. This particular picture is the remanant of a chocolate chip muffin. We have about a million pictures with food all over his face like this. I hope he gets over this before he starts dating otherwise all his first dates will probably be his last no matter how cute he is.

4. Tate has the longest eyelashes ever. He got them from his dad which you don't notice his as much since they're not dark. I love them though but I can't help but wonder why my girls who would appreciate them more didn't get them. I guess I should be thankful since my girls would probably just ruin them with mascara eventually. I just hope Tate doesn't pull them out like Ben does. He hates them they drive crazy.

5.Tate loves giving kisses. Unfortunately his mouth is always open when he gives them which tend to make them a little wet. He gives them to everyone and alot of times they can be unwanted. Okay most of the unwanted kisses go to Tia as you can see.

So there is my little bit on Tate so now I want to hear more about Jaxon Hadlow, Mia Nilsson, and Maggie Hyer.

The Age Old Question

I know we all wonder if we are low or high maintence and now here is the quiz to tell you and don't lie to get the answer you think you want. You all know you're going to think about it but the test will know and auotmatically give you high maintence because computers know everything. Consider yourself warned. Here is my results:

Are you low, medium, or high maintenance?

You're low maintenance. This can be a good thing, but it can sometimes be a very thin line between low maintenance and TOO low maintenance. So be careful and maybe spend a little more time in the mirror, and a little more money on clothes to make sure that you don't fall into the TOO low maintenance category.
Take this quiz!

I'm So Excited

I found this video yesterday on MTV and it got me so excited for the movie. I don't think December can come fast enough. Thank goodness that I also have Breaking Dawn to look forward to also. I love Rob's American accent. I had to do a double take on it because it sounded so different from his English accent. I don't know if everyone is as big of Twilight fan as me but if you are sit back and enjoy.

Kids Do The Craziest Things

Yesterday we were all playing outside having fun and then Tate and Tia ran inside so I told Kennedy it was time to go inside too but when I tried to open the door it was locked. Tate had dead bolted it. All the blinds were shut so I couldn't see inside so Kennedy and I ran to the front ringing the doorbell but Tate did not want to open it. He just kept staring at us through the side window. I kept telling him to open the door and he would yell NO! I called my parents informing them of the catastrophe and asked if they could come over and save me. I should give someone else besides my parents the key. When I hung up I decided to bribe him. I said Tate do you want some candy and yet again he yelled NO! Do you want a treat? NO! Do you want a drink? NO! I was starting to get pretty mad at this point and Tia comes strolling up to the window. I say Tia do you want some candy and she of course yells YA! I say open the door then. She tries her best but can't figure out the deadbolt. All of the sudden I hear the deadbolt turning and we were able to get in the house. The only thing I can figure is that Tia convinced Tate to open the door so that she could have some candy. Boy does she have a sweet tooth. So that was my panic moment of the week. I kept picturing them destroying my house while I sat outside and froze. So let this be a lesson to all of you never let your kids inside while your outside without a key. Okay so I am probably the only person who has to worry about this so I guess the appropriate warning would be if my kids are ever at your house don't let them run inside without you.

So I never thought I would need two toilets in one bathroom till now. Kennedy and Tia are driving me nuts. They keep fighting over the toilet. Now my kids fight over alot of things but I have got to be honest a never thought a toilet would be one of them. One of them will say I have to go potty and the other says me too. Then it is a mad dash sprinting to the toilet to see who can get there first. Whoever does will sit there forever and mock the other. I keep trying to inform them that there are other toilets in the house but it doesn't matter cause the only one they want is the one that the other is sitting on. Is that just totally ridiculous or is it just me?

What's Your Favorite Era?

So last week Ben and I went to the movie Leatherheads which was an okay movie with a few funny parts but definitely a wait and rent. I do love George Clooney's smile though. There is just something about him that is so endurable. I need to find his secret and try to apply to myself which would still probably not help but it would be worth a try. Anyways back to the topic at hand, the movie was set in the 1920's and after the movie it sparked a topic between Ben and myself. I asked him if he could live in any era in the 1900's besides the one he grew up in, the 90's, what would it be? I told him that mine would be the 20's. Something about that time period just appeals to me. I like the clothing and yes there were clothes other than flapper dresses in the twenties. The other thing I love is all the hats. There we so many styles and every women wore them. I love it. You hardly ever see women in hats now. The automobile industry was just getting started up and I love those old fashion cars.I even like the music and dancing from back then. There seemed to be alot of partying and sporting events back then looked alot more appealing. Not to mention the prohibition. I could of totally been a bootlegger don't you think? The first World War was over and the Great Depression hadn't hit yet so the economy was doing pretty good. I think it would be an interesting time. Sure I might of been shot up by Al Capone but that's part of the excitement of the time. I like things stirred up a little.

Well after I explained all this to him, he thought I was crazy so I asked him when he would and his answer kind of shocked me. He said he would want to live in the 50's. I asked why and he said because it was such a happy time. He liked the idea of soda shops, juke boxes, and doing the jive. It is the Leave To Beaver life style that appealed to him. He liked the thought of the carefree lifestyle. I guess dressing up like the guys in Grease must interest him. The crazy thing is I have asked several guys the same question and they all said the 50's. The first reason they all say is because it was a happy time. Was it really that happy of a time or was it all a show is the question. It was the era of the perfect housewife although Ben denies that that is one of the reasons it appeals to him. *cough, cough* BS. It still shocks me that the 50's is intriguing to so many guy. Am I crazy? I think it seems too perfect to be real. Ben and I both agree though that growing up in the 90's was the best and if we could pick another time we wouldn't. So guys, what era appeals to you?

Book Tag

I got tagged twice for this so I figured that I better get my butt in gear. The closest book to me was Two for the Dough by Janet Evanovich. The 5th sentence on page 123 of this book is: "It's hard for a person to aim a gun when he's laughing." And I couldn't agree more. It is extremely difficult to do. These are definitely some wise words to live by. I don't want everyone to go out now and try to aim a gun at a person to see if it's true. Just take my word for it. I had to put that disclaimer in there for legal purposes. My lawyer thought it was necessary. Now I am going to tag Jamie,Daina,Erin,Jenny, and Diana. Now get to it!

Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog
5. Tag 5 people

A Reason To Celebrate, A Reason To Cry, And A Reason To Laugh/Kill

We past a huge milestone this week. We have one less child to potty train. HOORAY! She has been ready for awhile but I was dreading trying to potty train because Kennedy was really hard. I think she has a small bladder which made it hard to control. Tia is the exact opposite. The first day I wasn't sure how it was going to go because she had one accident but the rest of the time she just held it until I put her in a diaper for her nap and then when she woke up she held it until she went to bed. Now that's some control. The next day she had one accident and then I got her to go on the toilet and ever since then she hasn't had an accident. Pretty easy peasy. I am so grateful. I am not sure about number 2 though because she keeps holding that until she gets in her diaper. I'm hoping she'll get the hang of it like she did with peeing and yes she is holding a yatzee game. That's exactly why I took this picture. I couldn't stop laughing.

So this is my sad story of the week. Ben decided to cut Tates hair which I was fine with but I had no idea how short. He buzzed him using the shortest attachment. I was so devastated at first. He looked completely bald and I know it will grow fast but that whole day every time I looked at him it made me sad. I tried to get a good picture but he wasn't in the mood obviously. The moral of the story girls is get more clarification from your husband when dealing with all things hair.

I just had to post this picture although at the time I was pretty pissed off but I knew that later I would be able to appreciate the moment. This occurred during lunch. I made them all lunch and topped it off with some chocolate milk. I then proceeded into the den when I began to hear these very loud spitting noises. By the time I got back to the kitchen the damage had been done. They were both cover from head to toe in chocolate milk as was the table, chair, and floor. They look pretty happy for being covered in chocolate milk. I don't think I would have shared the same sentiment if I had been the recipient of the so called spitting war. Well Cheers everyone.
