I was about to post about Kennedy's birthday when I realized that I never did Tate and Tia's. I am 2 1/2 months late but better late than never right. On their actual birthday Ben took them to the Air Force museum. They had a great time with daddy. Tate's favorite part was flying the model plane in the wind tunnel. Ben said he had to pry his little hands off it so the other kids could have a turn.
We also had a family get together later that week. I made Tate a train cake since he is obessesed with them. Not quite as impressive as Amy's but I did give it a shot. I made a T for Tia with Tinkerbell on top. She was Tinkerbell for Halloween and has loved fairies ever since. Sometimes we'll call her princess and she'll say no I'm a fairy. Tia got the usual girly stuff, fairies, ponies, etc. Tate of course got trains and we ventured out and bought him a batman cave but the girls have played with it more than him. I'm sure one of these days he move onto something other than trains but for now it is all he cares about.

Long Over Due
Ben wanted me to blog this in December but it just never happened. This past Christmas my mom introduced us to the tradition of having one Santa's elves come visit before Christmas. My kids wrote a letter to Santa asking for the things they wanted and for an elf to come visit. The next day the letter was gone and Simpson the elf was there instead. We read a letter that he wrote saying how if you sprinkle him with magic snow, he will wake up when everyone is sleeping. Here are some of his shenanigans.
He had a game night with the girls dolls.
He took a marshmallow bath.
He hung snowflakes all over the family room.
He made cookies and flour angels.
He built his own little castle out of blocks.
He marked his territory.
The kids absolutely loved having Simpson stay and it was alot of fun for us too. We definitely want to make it a tradition in our house. The kids were so sad to see him go but the mom wasn't too sad due to the fact she had to clean up all of Simpson's messes.

The Verdict Is Finally In
Drum Roll Please......... After 6 long months, we now know that the next member of our family is going to be a boy. Ben is really excited. He informed me after I told him that if it was a girl he would have wanted to try again so it was pretty lucky for him cause there is no way I would have another kid. So Ben is set on the name Austin. What do you think? Any other good suggestions.
