What Happens When Mom Leaves The House?

THIS DOES. Lately everytime I leave the house the kids start going absolutely crazy. Last week I went out for my birthday and Kennedy and Tate collided causing Kennedy to get a severe bloody nose. Blood got all over the carpet, their clothes, and even on one of my pendant lights in the kitchen. Don't ask me how that happened. Anyways yesterday I went to my parents house to do our taxes and as soon as I get there I get a phone call from Ben saying Kennedy and Tate had collided again. He didn't see it happen but he heard it so he knew it was bad. The result of course is Kennedy's black eye and Tate might have been knocked out for a second. Ben isn't sure if he was or not but he looks alot better than Kennedy. Then later that night Tia took off all her clothes and pooped all over her bedroom so after all these events I think Ben might think twice before letting me out of the house. Does any of this stuff happen when you guys leave or is it just me. Regardless Kennedy had a rough night so this morning I asked if she well enough to go to preschool and she said,"Ya, I want to show all the kids my black eye." Needless to say I have decided that kids recover from everything way faster than adults. Heres hoping all your nights away don't go down like mine do.

My Sunday

I had to post a picture of our beloved prophet Gordon B. Hinckley who we all love so much. We all now he has lead such a great life and was probably ecstatic to see his lovely wife again. We will all miss him so much but we all know he has accomplished all he needs to in this life. So that is my small memorial to such a wonderful man.

I spent most of my Sunday cleaning up throw up and diarrhea. Tia has been sick and now it looks like Tate has it too. I am going to have to buy new sheets from washing them so much. They seem to like to wait till it is their nap or go to bed then they throw up and roll all over in it. I swear they are trying to make the biggest mess possible. They both had their flu shots so I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with this kind of stuff but it seems this strain has broken through the barrier. I seriously feel like I am in quarantine. I could really use a day off if only there was a boss I could call and take the day off. Unfortunately stay at home moms don't get that luxury. So that was my Sunday, I sure hope all of yours was a lot better.

Girl Scout Cookies

This is my darling niece Aidan who as you can see is a girl scout. How cute does she look in that uniform. As you can see it is that time of year we all look forward to, the selling of girl scout cookies. Hoorayyyyyyyyyy! I love thin mints but Ben likes the samoas. I'm sure you all have favorites also. Whenever I see girl scout cookies it reminds me of Ben and I's trip to San Francisco. They were selling cookies on every corner and me and Ben just kept buying them. I don't think I've ever eaten so many cookies in my entire life. I try to justify it by saying they only come out once a year but the truth is I can't stop myself from such deliciousness. If you want to join in the madness, give me a ring and I will put in an order for ya. Girl Scouts are #1!

Birthday

So my birthday was on Saturday and it turned out great. I spent most of the day out having fun. My mom and my sisters-in-law all took me out to lunch and a movie. We saw 27 dresses which I thought was so cute. It was really funny too. I love James Marsden, I think he has the best smile. Then my mom watched the kids so me and Ben could go to dinner and a movie. Thank goodness for my mom. If it wasn't for her I don't think Ben and I would ever get out of the house. Thank you mom. For my birthday I got some more books, a gift certificates for a date night, a cute magnet board with thoughts for the day, a treat basket, and money for a door to put in the den which I desperately need to keep the kids out. Thanks everybody for the gifts. The kids also decorated the house for me with pictures and crate paper. Kennedy kept asking when everybody was coming over and where my cake was. Ben tried to explain to her that I just wanted a day out. She said but a party with friends and family with cake, presents, and decorations is what birthdays are all about. She was a little sad about that so we made a cake together the next day and I let her sing to me and I blew out the candles. She seemed pretty satisfied with that. All in all it was a pretty good birthday. Thanks to everyone who helped make it that way.

Kennedy's Birthday Present

For her birthday she got this kids karaoke thing that puts their picture up on the screen while they sing. Her and Tia were playing with it last night and it was so cute that we had to take a picture. We should have been filming it because it was so cute to see her singing and dancing around. Tia would copy whatever Kennedy would do. If Kennedy turned around so would Tia. I'm pretty sure at sometime in Kennedy's life that will start to annoy her but right now she loves it. And yes that is Tia is the Snow White dress again. I just washed it and as soon as it was out of the dryer she was yelling at me to put it on her. It can't last forever, right!

So I was Blog Tagged

Aleesha Blog tagged me and I am a little late at posting but so was Aleesha. Half the people I could blog tag have already been tagged but I will tag those I have left. I also finally figured out how to post my playlist but I can't get it to fit right. If anyone knows how please let me know. So here we go.

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I went skidiving when I was a senior in high school. I have the video to prove it too. If you ever want to see it let me know. It is really quite comical.
2. I turned Ben down the first time he asked me out but that actually turned out well as you can see.
3. I hate to have my toes popped or have fingers put between them. Ben does it when he gives me foot rubs just to drive me crazy.
4. I had my belly button pierced on my senior trip to Cancun. I took it out as soon as I got home though. I did it more for the experience that anything else.
5. I videotaped my C-section with my twins. If you ever want to see something disgusting but yet amazing let me know(don't worry you don't see any knotty bits).
6.Recently I have become obsessed with reading. It drives Ben nuts. So if you have read anything good let me know and you can borrow anything you want from me. I am starting to get quite the library.
7. I have never broken a bone or had stitches. Knock on wood and I have a huge phobia of dentists( doesn't everybody though).

I am tagging:

Kennedy's 4th Birthday

On Friday we had Kennedys 4th Birthday party. It was mass caios but I think she had alot of fun. We finally got her lucky ducks which was our big Christmas mistake. It is really a cute little game for kids this age. Alot better than that Elefun game. She also got a bike helmet for the bike she got for Christmas which Tate is modeling in one of the pictures below. We also played Rock Band which Ben thinks there is only one sound level for LOUD. Half the people had to go upstairs in the playroom to get away from the noise. Sorry about that if your one of those people. Our playroom is a disaster. Anyways overall I think the party was a success and next year I think we are going to start trying the friend party thing. She wanted one this year and we told her no. I'm not quite ready for those yet. My birthday is this Saturday and I want my party to be the exact opposite of hers. Peace and Quiet. So I guess I'll have to find a way to get away from my husband and kids.

Early Birthday Surprise

Ben decided to take Kennedy and a few friends swimming as an early birthday present. She got a new purple(her favorite color) swimming suit too which she was super excited about. Kind of weird that they are already selling swimming suits right but if you don't buy one by March they will probably be gone. It seems to work that way. Anyways I thought it was extra ambitious for Ben to take 3 kids swimming by himself but everyone knows he has enough energy to handle it. Kennedys real birthday is today and she expected a surprise first thing this morning and the house to be all decorated. Unfortately I didn't have either. I had no idea she was going to have such high expectations. We are taking her to the chipmunks movie which she has really wanted to see and then her party is tonight so hopefully that will make up for my short comings this morning. Her are a few extra pictures of her swimming.

Did You Know Snow White Was A Red Head?

Well everyone has got a blog so I decided to jump on board. I put on this picture because this is the third day in a row that she has demanded that I put this dress on. It is the only thing Tia will wear and she throws a fit when I don't. So I have lost this battle for now but I am still hoping to win the war.
