Husband Tag

My friend Jamie just tagged me and it gave me the motivation to get started again. Hopefully it will do the same for some of you. If you read this then your tagged.

What is his name?

Benjamin David Romney - a.k.a: Ben, pumpkin, spanky, and baby bum

How long have you been together?

June 8th with be our seventh year of marriage but we met around Halloween and were together pretty much everyday since we met so over seven years.

How long did you date?

From met to marriage was a little over 8 months

Who eats more?

Ben. He can eat as much as he wants and still keep that baby bum. Jerk!

Who said I love you first?

He did. Although a week later he denied it. He use to always say I love you. I think I love you, I think. I'd say well that is super flattering. Try not to let your head explode over all that thinking. The words I think still haunt me to this day. In his defense, I was the only girl he ever said he loved and he was terrified of marriage but I snagged him regardless.

Who is taller?

He is. I'm 5'4" and he's about 6'

Who is smarter?

Totally depends on the subject matter although Ben would probably say he is.

Who does the laundry?

It is about even although if it were up to me I would burn all our clothes and just go naked. There is nothing I mean nothing I hate doing more that laundry.

Who does the dishes?

I do most of the time. Ben does every once and a while but I end up taking them out of the dish washer and doing them again so I pretty much do all the dishes.

Who sleeps on the right?

I do because I'm always on the right side of everything.

Who pays the bills?

I do. Ben doesn't like seeing all our money disappear.

Who mows the lawn?

Ben. I have never mowed a lawn in my life and I'd like to keep it that way.

Who cooks dinner?

We have a wonderful chef named Betty Crocker. Everything she makes is fantastic.

Who drives when you are together?

He does. The only way he can get me to drive is if I am picking him up from the hospital and he physically can't. He doesn't like when I drive anyways. I am a pretty aggressive driver although I have never been in an accident and Ben can't say the same but as you all know Ben is a crap magnet.

Who is more stubborn?

Me. Ben hates confrontation so he lets things go.

Who kissed who first?

He did. It wasn't till kiss three that I reciprocated. In my defense, he kept kissing me in mid sentence and you all know how I love to talk.

Who asked who out first?

I did I suppose. The first time I ever did that and if it wasn't for my mom lost in Target I would have never been bored and called him. Now that I think about it he did ask me out before that but I already had a date that night so I had to say no. That's why I called him. I thought he might need some encouragement after being turned down.

Who proposed?

He did. Once while we were wrestling in his basement and again once he had the ring in front of the Bountiful temple.

Who has more siblings?

He definitely does. 8 kids and his mom said she would have had 2 more if she could. Crazy huh. There are only three kids in my family.

Who wears the pants?

I do hand down. Ben is a total push over and our kids know it. Take a guess who our kids will probably run to when they want a sleepover. Although I do have to say that Ben does look quite magnificent in a dress.

What is his idea of a perfect date?

Going for some Mexican food followed by Nickelcade. He is really hard to please.

What is his favorite thing?

His boat. Sometimes when I can't find him anywhere I take a look in the garage and he'll just be sittin in the boat. I guess the boat must be lonely and need his company.

Thankgoodness For Grandparents

So Ben is on an overnight work trip and I was a little bummed out about being alone with the kids so my mom decided to come over. Not only did she come over but she brought dinner for the kids and I and then help do my dishes. Aren't moms so wonderful, I don't know what I would do without mine. She also brought along my dad, brother, and sister in-law. I think they mostly wanted to just see the puppy but whatever works to get people over to help. My dad is great to have along because he keeps the kids busy as you can see. They all LOVE Papa! And yes I know Tia doesn't have a shirt on but at least she has pants on, right. You all know how she loves to be naked and some days I'm just like well if it makes you happy then who am I to stop your happiness. I just hope this trend doesn't go past the age of three. So instead of spending a crazy night with my kids alone, I had a crazy night with my family around to enjoy all the splender. Thanks you guys.

Blog Challenges

I couldn't think of what to blog today so I decided to answer several blog challenges that have been given out. This shout out is to Amy. I asked Ben some of the weird of annoying things that I do and here are his answers:

1. I have to cut up all my meat in to bite size pieces before I start eating any of my food. I don't know why but I have to do it.
2. When I drink out of a bottle I put my entire mouth over the bottle top which tends to make backwashing more likely. It's my backwash so I don't care but Ben hates it because he can't ever share drinks with me and maybe thats the reason I do it. Get your own drink Ben. I'm not a kid anymore I don't have to share if I don't want to.
3. I really enjoy scaring the crap out of people. Always have, always will. Most of the scaring use to go to my mom because she gave the best reactions but then Ben came along and his reactions are just as good if not better. He absolutely hates it when I scare him which only makes it better. So all of you watch out you could be next.

The next shout out goes to Stacy. She wanted to know what everyone was doing ten years ago. Well I had just turned sixteen so I was just getting my drivers license. I was a sophmore in high school so my life pretty much consisted of school, homework, dance practice, friends, and boys. Pretty much the same thing that every other 16 year old girls life consists of. Sorry nothing really interesting.

The last shout out goes to Jaclyn. I have decided that my word of the year needs to be PATIENCE. It seems like no matter how much patience I think I am gaining it is lost daily. It is one of the things that I pray for most. It seems like at least one of my kids is crying all day long. When I put them to bed it feels like freedom. Sometimes I stay up so late because I get to be alone in complete silence. Whoever thinks silence is overrated needs to spend 10 minutes in my house.

Purse Tag

So I was purse tagged awhile ago and I am finally doing it and at midnight. So here is the list. The normal stuff: wallet, cell phone, pen, pencil, and keys. I also had some gloves, books I am reading, emergency tampon, baby shower candy bar, and a planner that I got from a Relief Society thing that I haven't touched since I put it in there in December. Then there is the pile of garbage that includes receipts, old grocery lists, sucker stick, lid to something, and other random crap. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but still not pretty. On another note if any of you are Dancing with the Stars fans, they announced the next group during that Dancing Wars show. They did it as a Sports Center knockoff called Dance Center. They had that really funny sports newscaster that was on the show in season 2 I think. It was so hilarious even my dad was laughing. So if you didn't see it look it up online maybe someone might put it on youtube. It seems like everything is on there.

Our New Member Of The Family

I lost my sanity for a moment yesterday and I let Ben buy a dog. I love animals to death but I told myself no dogs till our kids get older but those dang puppy dog eyes hypnotized me into bringing him home. We decided to name him Rizzo if the name sounds familiar it might be because of the Muppets. We have named all our pets after muppets and Rizzo really seems to fit him. Ben promised that whenever he was home the dog would be his responsibility. We'll see how long that lasts. He is a jack russel terrier and his heritage links back to Wishbone. When we got his papers, I realized that the dad is one of Suzie Radtke's dogs. Small world huh and no we are not trying to steal the Reeds thunder. If any of you have seen a picture of Rylee, you would know that it isn't possible. Kennedy is so excited about the dog. When we brought him home she asked can we keep him forever. As for the twins in all honesty, they are more interested in shutting themselves in Rizzo's kennel than playing with him. I know I'm crazy. I let Ben get away with too much. Here's hoping I don't regret this. With a face like that how could I.

(10-16 points) You are Garfield :
You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn't mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy :
You are fun; you are very cool and popular. You always know what's in and you're never out of style, you are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned. Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times.

(24-28 points) You are Elmo: < FONT f ace=Tahoma size=5>
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants:
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best fri end that anyone could ever have and never wants t o lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it' s funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people a nd you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don't let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points ) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker... Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong fami ly pri nciples. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

Ben and I's First Date

I actually have a picture of our first date which probably wouldn't have been taken if it hadn't been Halloween. Most men would probably run for the hills if a girl wanted to take a picture on a first date but I lucked out with it being a holiday and all. I was a sheriff/cowboy and Ben was, I'm not exactly sure. He just dressed up in a bunch off stupid looking stuff. I think he still has that shirt sadly enough. It was his clubbing shirt and him and his friends all had one but in different colors. Pretty scary huh! Did I mention that I tried to take an actual old timer handgun of my dads in a holster. It didn't have bullets in the gun but there was in the holster around my waist. My dad caught me and almost killed me right on the spot. Not one of my brighter ideas I suppose. Anyways we went to a couple of parties up at Weber State. A fraternity one and then an institute one. I know polar opposites. At the institute one they were having a dance and I kept waiting for Ben to ask me to dance but instead him and his friends watched while my friend and I danced with all the other guys who had the guts to ask a girl they didn't even know. Finally on the last song he asked me. I guess he must of thought it is now or never. Afterwards everyone just wanted to go home excluding me and Ben but neither of us had the guts to stick together while everyone else left. That night I wondered when I might see him again and luckily it turned out it was the very next day.

Disney World...The Best Place On Earth

We are going to the best place on Earth maybe even the galaxy in September. We have been planning this trip for awhile now but we just got our tax return so today we booked everything. I was totally stoked today when I found a flight $100 cheaper than what I have been looking at so we were able to save $500. We are spending a week and plan on doing the Disney thing, Sea World, and even the beach. I think Ben plans on getting a little golfing in too since we are staying at a Five Star Golf Resort courtsey of my parents. It will be alot of firsts for me and the kids. Since I didn't go to Disneyland till I was in fifth grade, I have never gone on any of the kids rides and also I am curious to when everyone else went for the first time so if you decide to comment leave that little tid bit in there. Now I just need Tia and especially Tate to grow a few more inches so we can ride everything but Space Mountain. They have seven months to grow but if anyone knows of any good streching techniques let me know.

Blackmail Photo

So I know everybody has one of those photos as a child that is so bad that your parents can blackmail you into doing anything. Well the twins are only two and I already have one. We told them to give each other kisses and of course Tate opens his mouth so this of course makes the kiss look a little too intimate for brother and sister. I believe we will be able to get them to do alot of unwilling things because of this and they are only two so I am sure more are to come. I am going to find a blackmail photo of myself when I go to my parents today and I am challenging everyone to do the same. Now lets see some of those blackmail photos.

14 Day Blogger Marathon.....And Go

So a friend of mine challenged a few girls to blog something everyday for two weeks so I know I am a little behind for the first day but I am still going to count it. I couldn't think of anything to blog today believe it or not so I started thinking about past events in my life and remembered one of my bloody nose stories. So I decided to talk about my bloody nose experiences. It takes alot to give me a bloody nose so I remember every bloody nose that I have gotten in my life because tramatic events occured to cause them. I have had 4 bloody noses and here are the stories:
1. I was in a closet with my little brother when out of nowhere a football clet was thrown directly at my face. Ouch! 2. I was in second grade playing red rover when a kid that obviously needed glasses plowed directly into me instead of our arms. Double Ouch! 3.Came much later and is the most imbarrassing. I was kissing a guy and his head bumped my nose just right to cause a bloody nose unfortunately we where in the dark and kept kissing till we both started tasting iron and realized our faces were a little to wet for just kissing. It clicked in our heads and realized I had a bloody nose. Needless to say the guy got a little squemish at the sight of blood so he was trying extremely hard not to throw up as we washed the blood that was spread all over our faces. You would have thought we had been in a car accident or something. Not one of my best moments and amazingly enough it wasn't my last date with the guy either. I must of been worth the blood shed. 4. Ben was laying on my lap and I kept messing with his nose to irritate him. Well it really worked because I annoyed him enough that he took his finger and jammed it up my nose. He didn't mean to do it that hard but unfortunately he did and blood started going everywhere. We were newly weds so he was extremely appoligetic and believe or not that same week he accidently threw a remote at my eye and I hit him in the head with a golf club. It was not the best week. Well thats all of them. If you have any good stories lets hear them.

Snow Fort

This snow thing is getting out of control. I am grateful for the moisture don't get wrong but for those without snow blowers it can be a real pain in the back. Anyways Ben decided to take advantage of all the snow and make a snow fort for the kids. He spent over an hour digging a hole and a trail to get inside and when he was finished he stuck a beautiful orange flag on top of it(in case any of you were wondering what the flag was for). The kids all ran out excited when he was finished and spent a total of 30 seconds in it before deciding that they wanted to go make snow angels instead. All that work for 30 seconds of bliss but for those of you who know Ben I think the snow fort was probably more for him than them. He seriously has considered sleeping in it which is completly crazy to me when there is a perfectly good house with a fire burning right next to it. There are just some things about my husband that I don't think I will ever understand which I think might be a good thing. I'm just grateful to Ben for having the energy to make these memories happen.

Bet You Didn't Know Ben, Matt, & Jeramy Could Dance

Don't send a lame Starring You! eCard. Try JibJab Sendables!

So I got permission from Too The Max to post this so I don't get sued. When I first did this Kennedy saw this and said,"Wow Daddy is a really good dancer." Anyways I hope everyone enjoys this one too. Michelle is the one that told me to post it so if Ben, Matt, and Jeramy want to know why they can go to her. Personally I think this one is way funnier than Ben and I's. Everyone have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

Ben and I's Mexican Dancing Tour

Don't send a lame Starring You! eCard. Try JibJab Sendables!

I don't know if you guys even knew that we did a Mexican dancing tour but we did and we are really quite good as you can see. Lately it has been so cold and stormy that I thought I would share a bit of cheer. By the way if you don't find this completely hilarious you are crazy. I also did one of Ben, Matt, and Jeramy break dancing which is really funny. I didn't post it cause I thought they might kill me but if you want to see it really bad, I will e-mail it to you.
