Treehouse Museum Fieldtrip

SO Kennedy had a field trip on Tuesday to the Treehouse Museum. What a fun little place for kids but if you think it is a place where you can just sit and watch your kids play you could not be more wrong. It is huge and I was exhausted after following Kennedy all over the place for and hour and a half. I kept hitting my head on all sorts of things especially that tree. Apparently they didn't have adults in mind while building it. She had a lot of fun though and as you can see from the picture she always had to be front and center and first to volunteer. I even caught her trying to volunteer with another class. I was the crazy mom with the camera taking a million pictures. Every group has one and I just happen to be it. Here are a few more pictures of the field trip:

Kennedy volunteered to be the littlest billy goat gruff. Look how brave she is going across that bridge knowing a nasty troll is waiting for her under it. Good thing she is so clever of she would have been dinner.

Kennedy and her friend Hudson with the American flag. She has become obsessed with the flag recently so she wanted a picture with it. Every time we are in the car and she sees one she yells,"American flag mommy. Did you know we live in America?" which I reply,"Yes honey I know we live in America" each and every time.

They had these tiny kimonos for the kids to wear and I couldn't resist putting Kennedy in one and taking a quick snapshot. Can you believe she automatically posed like that? Alright, Alright, so maybe a coached her a bit. I have to admit though I don't think she could pass herself of as Japanese.

They had all this fake Japanese food to play with that Kennedy loved picking up with the chopsticks which probably wouldn't have been possible if they weren't stuck together at the top. Everyone take a good look though cause that's the closest you'll ever get to seeing any of my kids eating any kind of fish. Did I mention Ben and I HATE seafood. I wish I didn't cause it always looks like so much fun to eat.

Kennedy of course spent the most time in the school house. What little kid doesn't love playing school? It isn't until you're actually in school that you discover playing school and going to school are two very different things.

They have a very cool music area. Kennedy has this awful habit of banging on my chest and calling it a drum so it is good to show her what actual drums look like. If she has ever done this to you, my apologies.

Man you guys am I on a roll or what. You would think that we were having another blogger marathon again.

The 2 1/2 Hour Haircut

So I have decided that I like Kennedy's hair short. She doesn't have really thick hair so it looks better short plus she doesn't scream her head off when I comb it. Well not as much anyways. The last time I had it cut by my friend Melissa but it didn't go especially well. She wouldn't hold still, she was bored, and definitely did not want to stay sitting in that chair. So what is a girl with these dilemmas to do you ask? I decided to try the task myself. I mean why not I've tackled a room with poop all over the walls, bedding, clothes, and the child. A simple haircut should be a piece of cake or so I thought. I put the twins down for a nap, got a cartoon on the TV, and some tasty snacks for Kennedy to munch on which I know is extremely disgusting because she was probably eating some of her own hair since hair gets everywhere when you cut it. But I was positive that this task would not be accomplished without the snacks. I've heard that gum, hair, and fingernails not digesting is just a myth anyways right. Well the cartoon on the TV was not working since she couldn't watch it while putting her head down so I finally came up with the idea to have her watch Toy Story on Ben's PSP which did work for awhile. But of course she kept whining that it hurt and she didn't want to sit anymore. Since I'm not exactly a professional, it was probably taking a little longer than it should have but I couldn't have her walking around looking like Edward Scissorhands either. So half way through the haircut I let her go to the bathroom, play, go outside for a bit. So if you happened to be in my backyard lurking about which you better not have and saw her with one side of her hair cut, that is why. I eventually got to cutting the other half of the hair which became the longest 2 1/2 hours of my LIFE but I think it turned out okay. I might be a little biased though since she is my child and I am the artist of the so called creation a top her head. So when you see us and you think it looks like crap, I would say that it would probably be in your best interest to look at me smile and lie through your teeth. On a side note I have decided that I will never have the desire to have a future career as a hairdresser or a school bus driver for that matter. I always thought that seemed like an unpleasant career choice and mine always seemed extremely unhappy except for the one we thought was having a secret affair with our Jr. High principal. Regardless I have seen my kids bouncing up and down enough for a life time let alone somebody elses. If you have any other job selections you would like to put on the never try list let me know. Until the Adieu.

Easter Extravaganza

We started Easter a week early at my moms house with our first Easter egg hunt. Then Saturday we had our second neighborhood egg hunt. Ben smashed all our kids in our bike trailer to take them a total of 10 feet away and as you can see Tia was ecstatic about it. It was freezing but the kids enjoyed themselves regardless and were able to get quite alot of eggs since there were about a million eggs out. I can't imagine why the people hiding the eggs just threw them on the ground. I would have gracefully placed each and every one in a brilliant hiding spot even though there is basically just grass there but I noticed several mole holes lurking about. So maybe a kid gets their hand bit off, who cares. I would consider the fellow lucky to have such an awesome Easter story to tell. Kennedy had her entire basket full as you can see and I am surprised Tia had any eggs at all. As soon as we started Tia found a whole bag of candy on the ground. I am not sure if that was purposefully done but as soon as Tia saw it her eyes got huge and she picked it up and put it in her basket then looked at me and said, "I'm done."
I had to push her too keep picking up eggs. Tate of course spent most of his time trying to find a way to escape the common area. He finally started picking up eggs after awhile. Its a good thing they do the big and little kids separate or he would have definitely ended up empty handed. I think his favorite part was the cookies though. Unfortunately he kept picking up cookies, licking off the frosting and putting them back in the package. So if your kid picked up a cookie like that, I apologize. It was fun and easy though so I am grateful for those who organized it. The last hunt was Sunday night at Ben's grandpas after dinner. Thank you Peggy for doing that one. The Easter bunny also visited magically during church Sunday morning and brought a few toys. On the way home we told Kennedy we thought the Easter bunny might have brought something by and her reply was AGAIN! I am starting to agree with her. I think this Easter bunny is busier than Santa Claus. He did three egg hunts for us alone and stopped by to drop off the toys. Are we starting to do too much for our kids nowadays. I only remember having one egg hunt if we had one at all. Sometimes the Easter bunny at my house decided not to hide eggs and just put them all in the basket. I wonder if we overdue things sometimes and lose the true meaning of holidays. Although when you have little kids the true meaning of Easter can get a little sticky. Ben tried to explain to Kennedy that we celebrate Easter because Jesus died for us and then came back to life and visited people and she was like, HUH! So Ben just stopped before he really freaked her out. Christmas is a little easier. It's Jesus's birthday. All kids can grasp that. Anyways sorry about my incredibly long rant. If you have made it this far I congratulate you and if you post a comment put a smiley face at the end. Just curious about how many people start reading and then decide its too long and just post a comment about something they read already. Excited to see. =)

Kinsley Sage Woolf

Kinsley came into this world on March 17th 2008 weighing 7'14" and 19 1/2 inches long. Kennedy and I went over to see her tonight. Kennedy didn't get to see her in the hospital and she was so disappointed but we made up for that tonight. She held her for quite awhile and kept playing with her hands and hair when other people were holding her. It was alot of fun to see her like that. When we brought the twins home she was still pretty young so she didn't have to much interest. To her all the twins meant was it took 10 times as long to get her juice. Kinsley is adorable as you can see and I haven't seen so many facial expressions from a baby since Tia. Ben watched the twins so we could go over there so THANKS BEN! Also Ben has now officially launched his blogspot if you want to hear him smack talk me go take a look. Pretty sad that his first blog is tearing me up and I love how he tries to butter me up before the fall. Very clever Ben but I'm not fallin for it. This is war!

St. Patty's Day

On Sunday my mom made a St. Patrick's Day dinner with all the food being green except for the pot roast thank goodness. I don't think I could eat green meat. The kids loved it and she had everything decorated. I don't know how she gets the energy to do all this stuff. She also had an early Easter egg hunt so hopefully the kids don't get the two holidays confused. It was alot of fun. Yesterday Kennedy was so excited for St. Patricks Day. She picked out everyones outfits and was running all over the place. She kept asking me when everyone was coming over for the party. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't that type of holiday and no one was coming over. She was wondering why all our food wasn't green either. I guess my mom's party gave her a huge expectation for this holiday that I wasn't prepared for. It turned out to be a great day though because we welcomed a new member to the Woolf family. At 2:07 yesterday Kennedy got a new cousin named Kinsley Sage Woolf. She was 7'14" and 19 1/2 inches and is absolutely darling. I'll have to post some picks when I get some. Congrats you guys. At least I'll always remember her birthday. Of all the holidays to have your birthday on St. Patricks Day isn't too bad except all your birthday outfits will have to be green. Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Weekend Getaway

Okay so our weekend getaway wasn't quite as nice as the picture but was still pretty dang good. Ben and I went down to St. George with his brother Kyle and his girlfriend Sherilynn. It was so nice to not have to think about anyone but myself. We spent the weekend reading, relaxing, and taking naps. We saw 10000 B.C. and Jumper and they were both alright. We did a little shopping and eating out which is so much better without kids. What a difference. The first night we all fell asleep at nine. How sad is that but it felt good. We also went to Fiesta Fun to hit some baseballs. Well they hit baseballs while I read. I'm kind of a nerd. I was a great weekend and I need to give a special thanks out to my parents who watched our kids so we could go. They were hanging on by a thin thread by the time we got home but they made it and we appreciate it so much. I also need to thank Cindy and Jay for letting us stay at their amazing house. Can't wait to come down again maybe next time it will be hot enough to get in the pool not that it stopped Ben from still playing in it. He figured if he couldn't swim in it he was going to buy a remote control boat to play with. Sometimes I do not understand how men find somethings so fun. Remote control vehicles is on that list. After five minutes I am done. Anyways can't wait until our next weekend getaway anyone else up for babysitting.

On a side note if you want to hear an interesting story. Our cousin has a friend that works at the ER down there and told him a gruesome story about the Fiesta Fun place we went to. Apparently a women was riding the go carts when her hair got stuck in the wheels and it scalped her from her eyes back. How awful is that. His friend said it was so gross to see. I can't even imagine what everyone was thinking at the park but it didn't kill her. Ben called me today and told me the story is on KSL.com today so if you want to see how she looks now go take a look. She looks pretty good. It is amazing what medical technology can do. The Difference Between Men & Women

A friend e-mailed this to me and I thought it was really funny so I thought I would share it with all of you.
NICKNAMES: If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Kate and Sarah. If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.
EATING OUT: When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, eventhough it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back. When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.
MONEY: A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's onsale.
BATHROOMS: A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shavingcream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from M&S. The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.
ARGUMENTS: A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.
CATS: Women love cats. Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking men kick cats.
FUTURE: A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
SUCCESS: A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
MARRIAGE: A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.
DRESSING UP: A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the bins, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail. A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.
NATURAL: Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed. Women somehow deteriorate during the night.
OFFSPRING: Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams. A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Photo Shoot

As you can see tonight I took some pictures of Miss Rylee Reed. Liz doesn't have a blog so I decided to post them on mine. I couldn't help myself. Look at how cute she is and that hair is unbelievable. These are the only two that I have edited so far but there are a bunch of cute ones and she only peed twice during the shoot. Ben and Jeramy played Xbox while the kids destroyed the upstairs. It was quite an eventful night and well worth the results. Ben was trying to consider it my night off though and we all know that's not going to fly. Sorry I that I've been slacking lately but we had a crazy weekend. Tia sprayed herself in the eye with Spray'N Wash and we had to take her to the emergency room. She didn't open her eyes the entire next day. It gave us a feel of what it would be like to have a blind child.Today her eyes are back to 100% and she is back to her old self. Thank Goodness! As some of you may know me and Michelle started a little blog for the boys if you haven't seen it yet the address is swmanblog.blogspot.com.If you want your husband to join post a pic and tell a little about him. The password in cleancut but try to keep the integrity of the original page. Here are a few of my favorites.
