Just a little reminder that book club is at my house tomorrow at 7:30. Everyone spread the news in case anyone has forgotten.

Sunday Dinner
Last Sunday it was Ben and I's turn to host Sunday dinner. I love hosting dinner in the summer since you can do an easy BBQ and you can enjoy the outdoors which is important since fitting Ben's big family in almost any house feels a little squishy. I had to post this picture of the kids eating ice cream. It was just too cute and it totally reminds me of being a kid (the good ole days). Doesn't everyone have a picture of themselves eating an ice cream cone at some point. I love the picture with Ben in it. If you look closely you'll notice Caleb is sharing his ice cream cone with Kennedy. Cute and a little surprising but I am pretty sure there will come a point where they won't be able to share ice cream cones for it kind of falls into that kissin cousins category. I also love the picture of Kennedy and Tia together. Whenever I see pictures of them, it makes me wish I had a sister. They may fight but I know they will be really close and it makes me a little jealous. Is that weird? I'm glad they will always have each other but I also hope that they will always let me into their private club. I have a feeling that as they get older it will become a more exclusive one. Hopefully I will be allowed a temporary pass every once in a while. All in all the whole dinner went off without a hitch oh except for when Conner knocked off Tate's ice cream off his cone. I think you all know what Tate's response to that was. It was death con five and we all rushed to get some ice cream on top his cone. Luckily we were fast enough so the missile crisis was averted.

Happy Fathers Day To Ben
For Fathers Day this year Ben decided that he wanted to buy two tubes for the boat so we can have battles. The only word that comes to my mind is Ouch but Ben was so excited. We finally were able to take them out and Jeremy was kind enough to indulge Ben with the tube wars since I was in no way going to attempt it. I did however agree to drive and let me tell you there is no better thing than making two grown men scream like girls which is exactly what they did. At one point Jeremy hit a wave and flew about six feet in the air while Ben flew underneath him. That one even scared me and no we didn't get a picture of it cause Liz was too in shock to snap the pic. They both said they have never laughed and been so scared at the same time before. They loved it and Ben is willing to take new challengers so if anyone is up for it let us know. A little warning in advance though expect to be extremely sore the next day. Ben couldn't even raise his arms above his head. We are both just glad to be able to go boating again. Now if the price of gas would just go down it would be perfect if anyone wants to contribute to the Romney boating fund we are taking donations. It is a very worthwhile cause and when you see the look on those boys faces it makes every penny worth it.

Book Club Update
Okay so we planned on meeting on the 24th of June but because of some unforeseen circumstances, cough..cough.. Jaclyn, we won't be able to do it that day so we are moving it to Tuesday July 1st at 7:30 so those of you who haven't started it yet, cough.. cough.. Erin Smith, get an extra week. I hope this doesn't mess anybody up so nobody plan a big activity and decide to do it on July 1st especially you Jaclyn. Everyone spread the news to each other and at the next meeting we will get eveybody's e-mail so when we have these type of things happen we can contact each other. Get ready everyone because I plan on having us travel through time.

Kennedy's Recital
I'm back! I took a short sabbatical and now I am ready to go again. My life seemed a little crazy there for a few weeks but I think it is starting to slow a bit. Kennedy had her recital and did a great job. There was only two of them in her group but that didn't scare her at all. She was so excited to dance up on the big stage. Ben got a picture of her doing a toetouch and she was so impressed. They got trophies with their names on them like last year so when I gave the trophy to Kennedy she replied but mom I already have one of these and I told her ya but that one is purple and this one is turquoise and she grabbed it and said oh okay. On the way home though she broke the dancer off the top so don't mention the trophy to her cause now it is a sore subject. I promised to fix it which I fully intend to do one of these days.I had to be the class mom for her class so I had to stay with them until after they went on so Ben was left with the twins alone and let me tell you Ben was not happy about it. Ben's mom, sister, my sister in-law, and her daughter were there so they helped as much as they could but apparently they could see me on the other side of the auditorium and they were not happy about it. You would think we would have learned from the previous years experience and found babysitters but we always hope one of these times they will be good. Well those of you that don't now Sophie goes to the same studio as Kennedy and so Jaclyn and Joe were there and Cade did not want to sit still so either Jaclyn or Joe(can't remember which) took Cade out with Joe's mom and when they got to the lobby Joe's mom says hey at least he's not acting like that kid and they look over and see a boy kicking and screaming on the floor with a dad trying to control him and wouldn't you know it, it is no other than Tate and Ben.Joe laughs and says that's my neighbor. Needless to say Ben was quite on edge by the time Kennedy was done and we will definitely getting a babysitter next year that is if we learn from our mistakes. Once same on them twice same on us three times and we would have to be complete idiots. So who is free next year?
